Rococco Cat!

‘Princess with a Himalayan cat’

Here is the fourth and final piece I have recently purchased from Jasmines collections. (Although I will in the future definitely be buying more!) Some of her mermaid artwork is amazing! Anyway, this one I liked because it has this glamourous princess with her fluffly little cat! So even royalty cannot resist a feline friend! It’s called simply ‘Princess with a Himalayan cat’ which describes the picture perfectly! I love how this piece has a slight gothic feel to it! Intriguing as always!

You shall go the ball!

Marie Masquerade!

Here is the 3rd of my recently purchased prints from Artist Jasmine-Becket-Griffith. It’s called ‘Marie Masquerade’ It was inspired by a recent trip to france – Marie Antoinette – The doomed queen! I really like how her hairpiece is a ship, which I didn’t notice at first! I mainly liked the picture because it reminded me of a 17th Century Cinderella! All dolled up and ready to go the ball! But that’s great thing about art, is that everyone interprets it differently! Feel free to let me know your thoughts and ideas on the piece!

Taking a stand!

I thought I would just take a moment to blog about my toiletries stand in my bathroom. I got it not long after we moved in so it’s about 4 years old now and I quite fancy  change. When we first moved in I liked how it didn’t take up much space and displayed all my powder room secrets for everyone to see! But I am at a stage in my life now, where I can’t stand clutter. Anywhere. I have spent the last year methodically clearing the clutter from our house. You name it and I’ve got rid if it! Books, games, dvds, clothes, shoes, etc…But I realised today the one place that I have yet to de-clutter is the bathroom! But I’m not sure yet whether I’m ready to part with fabulous vintage stand. So any ideas or suggestions would be grately appreciated!

An Artistic Article!

White Orleander

So a few days ago I blogged about how I had found this great fantastic artist called Jasmine Becket Griffith. Today I am showing the 2nd of her prints that I recently bought! This one, again is from her Poisonous Beauties II collection. It’s called ‘White orleander’ and was the 2nd in the series. It depicts a green eyed, raven haired beauty surrounded by the very beautiful but extremely poisonous white orleander plant! Again I have framed this in a vintage swept frame which was from poundstretcher and cost only £6.99!

A Work of Art…

Opium Poppy

I recently decided that I was going to take down all the photos in my house and replace them with Artwork instead. Photos constantly have to be updated as people grow older etc..So some pieces of art would stay the same without the need for constant updating and changing. I wanted unusual art though. Something that would intrigue so when I came across an american artist called Jasmine Beckett Griffith I knew I had found what I wanted! She specialises in fairy/nymph artwork and has a gallery in downtown disney. But luckily for me I could get her prints shipped to the uk from her ebay shop! They are not the originals, but very good high quality prints of the originals and she has also signed the back of them! I’ve got them in quite a big size (10×8″) and i managed to find these lovely swept picture frames from poundstretcher for £6.99. I think they compliment the style of artwork perfectly! The watery eyed beauties that depict so many of her pictures just blow me away! I absolutely love them! This is the first one I bought and it comes from her collection called poisonous beauties. It’s the 3rd installment of the series and features the opium poppy. A beautiful yet powerful flower! I have four pieces of her artwork now and over then next few days I will be sharing them with you! Hope you all like them as much as I do!
